Hey Everyone,
Sorry about the problems with the site. I have no idea what the problem is. It seems that wordpress has stopped embedding videos into my posts. I’m working on solving the issue!
Enjoy! Have a great happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And please, don’t hit anybody with a 2×4.
This weeks Bad Video Friday video is the new series “Hold Please”. At first glance you might think I am wrong… There’s nothing wrong with this series! At first glance, you’d be right. It is one nicely polished piece of work.
But then it gets going and the main character tells us she’s an actress. Really!?! Do we have ANOTHER web series about an actress trying to make it?
And what kind of receptionist makes $22.00 an hour?
And why does the audio sound like that? Hear that buzz? There’s no room tone, god that gets annoying.
And why does the first episode end right after the interview? I mean, how does that motivate me to watch episode 2? Is it going to let me down with no story as well?
If you want, episode 2 is after the break.
Did you all know that The College Humor Show premiered on MTV last night?
I didn’t. I don’t get MTV. Not that I don’t want MTV, Dish Network doesn’t offer the channel in HD (yet) so I don’t have it. I’m an HD snob, if you don’t have it in HD, I don’t watch it.
But I did watch it online. It’s everything I hoped it would be and more.
I’ve been a fan of collegehumor.com for what seems like forever. To see these guys rise from the depths of college hell all the way to… well… MTV, it’s kind of inspirational.
They have everything I want. I hate them.
More videos, as usual, inside.
I’ve been wondering for a few weeks what the new hook of the show would be. I mean, they had the whole “Who is the fifth cylon” thing going for so long, I think a lot of people were kind of lost without it.
Not anymore!
“She knows the truth!”
WHAT!?!?! Truth!? Truth about what? Why earth is a radioactive dump? Why the cylons lived there? Why the final five had no idea they were cylons? Why dogs like to fart and pretend that it didn’t happen!?
One thing is for sure… She was able to be reborn and she was nowhere near a resurrection center… At least, not one that we know of. They are still very close to earth, I am guessing there is one there.
Also, I am guessing that by the end of the series we are going to see the end of Galactica. The ship is a dump, falling apart, and they’re already hinting about it.
So what is it people? What’s this big truth that Helen, the final cylon, knows?
On a daily basis the YouTube community never ceases to amaze me. Only a day after the now infamous Christian Bale tirade against the cinematographer on the set of Terminator 4 was released we now have a techno music version of it.
God Bless America!
On Friday I posted what I called a “Choose Your Own Adventure” YouTube video game. Today, I ran across yet another, posted above.
The fact I ran across so many (this is the third I have seen, the first being the now popular “Street Fighter” YouTube game) YouTube games has be wondering: Is this a new form of game, or is it just a fad or gimmick?
What do you think?
Did you ever read those choose your own adventure books when you were a kid? I did… and I usually ended up dead. Stupid books.
On the bright side, YouTube has now become advanced enough that users can now create their own choose your own adventure video! That’s right kids, you can now pretend to hit on girls that are WAY TOO HOT FOR YOU.
Well, she isn’t THAT hot… But you get the point.
Are you wondering if I ended up dead at the end of this one? Well, yeah, basically I did. I thought that (SPOILER ALERT) it would impress her that John Stamos was my friend.
Oh well!
I’m confused!
I know I told you all I would be doing a series of posts that highlight my favorite web series, but I just couldn’t let this one go.
Last night I watched “Trust Me”, a new series on TNT starring Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanagh. These are two incredibly talented actors that I like very much. I don’t think I’ve seen a single thing either one has been in that I didn’t enjoy. That’s why I am so confused. This show was supposed to be good!
If you haven’t seen the show, don’t bother. If you have, I would love to hear from you, especially if you liked it.
My big problem with the show is that the characters are not likable. I’m not sure if that is a goal of the writers and producers, but if it was, it doesn’t work. There isn’t a single character on the show that the audience can relate with. The two main characters are a-holes, the cute blonde is a b**ch, and the rest of the characters didn’t have enough screen time to make a dent.
How many of you enjoy watching only three characters for 43 minutes of screen time?
And don’t get me started about the ending. I won’t spoil it for you all if you haven’t seen it. I’ll just say that it got me up off the cough, screaming at the television. It was that stupid. And bad.
Then again, I guess I shouldn’t have held very high expectations for the show. Eric McCormack doesn’t even have the credit listed on his IMDB page!
It’s official. The fifth Cylon is Helen.
Well, color me surprised. This one I didn’t see coming. As the episode went on I was sure Starbuck was the final cylon. I guess that’s what the writers and creators wanted me to think. Well, they got me, and in a big way.
I find their choice to be interesting for a number of reason, most importantly, Helen is dead. Or, at least, we think she’s dead. If I understood the series correctly, the final five cylons do not have the ability to be reborn if they are killed. This single fact makes them all the more special.
So is Helen alive or dead? Right before she was killed on earth she mentions the fact that “Everything is in place… We’ll be reborn together.” Does this mean there is a resurrection center there on earth? Maybe on a nearby planet? Whatever it is, all of the final five cylons were killed on earth and obviously reborn at some point, probably many times as they grow and age just as regular humans do… So how are they doing it? Post some comments below!
And I can’t even get started on what I think about the whole Starbuck situation… I think I’ll let that one simmer for a while.
